My friend and scuba instructor Kevin decided it was time to make the effort to get some family photos….after 20 years of marriage, and now that their daughter Ella is 11! As it turns out, they had never done family portraits before and I could hardly believe it! Kevin was a little worried about the weather, which can be testy in Texas in the spring, but I assured him that unless it was totally down pouring, the session was still on. It was a cool spring day, with rain in the previous days and a thick cloud cover. Not to be scared off by a little mother nature, I headed to their home, which sits on a wooded lot with a pond and a bridge - all in all an ideal setting for family portraits. They looked polished but casual, and we headed outside as planned. They were goofy with each other, joking with me, and all around having a good time, all of which comes through in their photos.
Custom Collage Feature your favorite images from your session in an artfully arranged collage. The finished piece would look great in your home as a gallery wrap or framed wall art.
I really love it when the clients are relaxed, looking forward to having their photo session, and are willing to pretty much try anything. Including bringing your cats out for a few shots. Which, incidentally, I don't recommend :)
Humor and chaos with feline family membersLucy and B are a part of the family to the Harmons, so naturally they wanted to get a photo with them as well. Despite our carefully planned setup, the cats won in the end.
