During the 2014 Diving Rebels outing to Balmorhea State Park in West Texas, we took a spur of the moment side trip to Big Bend National Park. It is one of the least visited National Parks, I presume because it's rather out of the way. Those that never get to visit are missing out on a spectacular park with quite a variety of climates, vegetation, and wildlife, not to mention beautiful scenery. The vastness of the topography is difficult to translate into pictures. This park also hosts the Rio Grande River and the border between the United States and Mexico.
